Engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM)
Vector Aerospace is a Designated Analysis Center (DAC) for the CAMP Systems International Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) and Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) services offered for a wide range of Pratt & Whitney Canada engine products, including the PT6A, PW100, PW150A, JT15D, PW300, PW500, PW600, PW200, PT6B, PT6C and PT6T.
As a Designated Analysis Center, Vector Aerospace offers professionally trained technicians and expert analysis of ECTM data, enabling operators to benefit from the early detection of engine performance margin deterioration caused by wear or malfunction of engine components/accessories. This is turn minimizes unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
Vector’s dedicated DAC specialists are able to properly interpret trend signature characteristics and suggest remedial action for a range of engine anomalies, including premature hot section distress, hot start, faulty fuel system, foreign object damage (FOD), bleed air leaks, instrumentation errors and compressor efficiency.
Vector has developed its ECTM capabilities to meet the ‘Big Data’ transmission requirements of the latest generation of aircraft, including Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) messages, Wireless Extension for Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (WEFA), Flight Data Acquisition Storage & Transmission (FASTTM) and Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRS).
Vector Aerospace provides ECTM support to operators on five continents, its customer base including Air Canada Jazz (DHC-8-100 & -300) and Malaysia Airlines (ATR 72-212A & -600).
