Vector Aerospace’s cross-fleet support services popular with fixed-wing and helicopter operators

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Las Vegas, NV – Vector Aerospace, a global independent provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, is increasingly being relied upon for cross-fleet support by customers operating both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. Vector’s broad range of powerplant services for turboprops/jets and turboshafts, combined with its extensive portfolio of helicopter support capabilities, makes Vector a convenient ‘one-stop-shop’ for such cross-fleet operators.

Vector provides MRO services to a broad gamut of cross-fleet customers, including military operators across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia; prime contractors supporting armed forces around the globe; and civilian operators worldwide.

King Air Services (KAS), located in Lanseria, South Africa, is a long-standing customer of Vector Aerospace. Operating a wide range of business jets, turboprops and helicopters, KAS specializes in aircraft leasing, corporate and tourist charter flights, both domestic and international. Since 1991, the company’s key focus has been aircraft leasing for United Nations agencies and airlines.

Vector provides KAS with OEM-approved Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine services from its Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Vector also provides OEM-approved services for the Rolls-Royce M250 engine in support of KAS’s helicopter fleet, from its locations in Johannesburg and Dallas, TX, USA. Another notable cross-fleet operator supported by Vector is Hevilift Australia. Using a diverse fleet of rotorcraft and turboprop aircraft, Hevilift provides a broad range of services, including natural resources sector support, search & rescue, emergency medical services, geophysical survey, aerial construction, aerial firefighting, NGO operations and charters.

Hevilift relies on Vector for various rotorcraft MRO services, provided from Vector’s Vancouver, BC, Canada helicopter services center of excellence, along with a range OEM-approved Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine services from its Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Brisbane, Australia.

“We are proud to be relied on by KAS and Hevilift to meet their MRO requirements,” says Jeff Poirier, President of Vector's Engine Services - Atlantic division. “Vector’s global network of support specialists understand the importance of timely, one-stop-shop support to our customers, and we stand ready to assist cross-fleet operators like KAS and Hevilift, across a range of fixed- and rotary-wing platforms.”

KAS and Hevilift also benefit from the support of Vector’s Mobile Repair Team (MRT), which is composed of 150 dedicated employees specifically focused on MRT operations globally. The MRT operation is designed around a ‘Quick Turn Around’ and ‘Travel Ready’ philosophy to support customers' needs 24/7. The majority of Vector’s MRT professionals are licensed A&P technicians, who have either worked in a service center or as an MRT in their careers, and who on average benefit from 30+ years of experience in their field.
