Vector Aerospace Signs Engine Management Program with South Pacific Carriers Airlines and Skytrans Pty, Limited
Vector Aerospace Corporation, one of the world’s leading independent providers of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services is pleased to announce that Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic has signed an engine management program (an hourly engine management program) with South Pacific Carriers Airlines (PNG) based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and Skytrans Pty. Ltd. (Skytrans) out of Cairns, Australia.
As per the terms of the four-year agreement, Vector provides comprehensive engine repair and overhaul support for a combined fleet of 40 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW120A model engines, including complete dynamic engine testing from Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic’s facility located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Adrian Smith, general manager of engineering for Skytrans says, "This new engine management program on our fleet of PW120A engines will allow the company to continue to operate for the next four years and to further extend the life of our engines by upgrading our engines with new blades and vanes while adhering to our HSI and Overhaul regime. We are looking forward to a productive relationship now and into the future with Vector on our expanding fleet of Dash 8 aircraft".
